First time parents evening...what should i ask?

I am going to the parents evening for my son that is in receptions.
I do not how they will run (how long they last/will i see only teacher or also assistant teacher/will son be present?). I imagine i will only have little time to ask questions so i would like to know from you what kind of questions to ask.

Any help please?

normally a 5-10 minute one-to- one without your ds and probably no TA unless during school day. Ask how he has settled, is he fitting in socially , does do what he is asked, is his level of work and play appropriate for. his age , any problems they have noticed or uncertainties you may have and any activities you can do at home to support . The teacher will cover most of this anyway.

The Reception children haven't been there long, only nine weeks. For many of them I dare say there isn't much to say about their academic achievement. It's just too early. But it's important to know how they're settling in: have they made friends, are they worried about anything, do they seem happy and able to understand what's expected of them?

1. Is he settled and making friends?
2. Does he have any particular strengths?
3. Does he have any particular areas that need work? What can I do at home to help this?
4. What level/profile point is he on for the different areas of literacy and maths?
5. What levels to you anticipate he should be by the time I see you at next parents evening?
6. How is his behaviour during the school day?
7. Is there anything else I can be doing at home to help?
8. Little Johnny doesn't like ___. Do you have any advice to help with this?
9. I am a little concerned about ___. What can we do to solve this?

10. Do you anticipate he will move up levels in his reading books after Christmas?

11. What sounds will he be learning over the next few weeks?
12. How do you teach reading/writing?
