Am I wrong in thinking I should have had Ds's IEP by now?

The teacher DS had last year was great at putting in place strategies to help him so when the IEP took a while to come home for me to sign I wasn't too concerned. I can't remember how long after term started she sent it home.

I haven't had one yet for this term, we didn't get some class targets to sign and I did add a note that just said IEP? This was weeks ago. Should I be concerned?

I feel that the school think I'm being a pushy Mum with regard to DS as he functions well but he does have a diagnosis of dyslexia from the local authority.

No don't think you are being pushy you just want senco and teacher to set targets for your dd so they can work with him and you can help your dd should ask again don't just leave it because person working with your dd will not know what to work on especially if he has achieved his previous targets speak to them on monday

Are you sure they've reviewed them yet? I know in some schools the IEPs run to November, so they could be in the process of reviewing them now. Also, I'm sure the teacher is well aware of your DS' areas of weakness and their areas of strength, and will be working with them accordingly.

Well if that's the case twllbach then their should be no concerns my dd is in nursery and I attend the meeting for my dd mine was in October but schools may take longer all the staff at the nursery and senco know my dd to but they manage to do the meeting and set new targets every time without fail arrange a new meeting at the same time in the meeting I dont know but that's the way it should be right?

Only just got ours NMP. They tie it in with parent's evening.

We've just had the second IEP review of the year as dd's school review them half termly.

Our school are currently reviewing ours. It can take a few weeks to complete IEPs if you have a number of new cases, new staff, new groups to set up etc.
