Access to exam paper

DD hasn't done as well in her English exam as she normally does. I have asked the school for a copy of her script so that I can work through it with her and they have refused.

Do I have a right to see it?

Thoughts please! All I want to do is support her.

Schools do not have to give access to exam scripts as they are exempt under the Data Protection Act 1998

I'm surprised at their response - I asked if we could take home one of DS3's maths papers in Yr4 and they were happy to give it to me. I wanted to go through it with him - see whether it was "can't be bothered" syndrome or silly mistakes or genuine lack of understanding (it was the first). Is it worth talking to the Head?

Where I work parents cannot have papers, however we can show them to the parent with the teacher present.
