spelling help for query dyslexic son

my year 2 child is suspected dyslexic. hes getting there with his reading but spelling and writing in general are way behind. anybody used any good schemes / techniques or anything to help learn spellings etc or with handwriting ? many thanks

I might be starting to sound like a broken record, but DS1 is currently going through the Apples And Pears spelling program and it is working wonders for him. I don't think he is dyslexic but his spelling is poor (several years behind his reading age). It has also helped with his handwriting (he has hypermobility so his writing is fairly dire) as there are lines to write his letters between.
