A Book Band Question...

Yes, I know they're dreaded, but can anyone tell me which order these books go in for Reception: Pink and Lilac. Which is the more advanced? I've been told that DS will be on one and then progress to the other, but which one first? I think they use Oxford Reading Tree (Biff, Chip and co).

Thanks.

Ah, thanks. They have white at the moment, which don't have words. Perhaps lilac is similar to that. Thanks again!

ORT colours aren't the same as book bands

PramFaceBuggyBrain · 30/10/2012 18:44

Oh! So, in ORT, which is first - lilac or pink? Does anyone know, please? Thanks!

Thanks, I was just looking at that. It looks as though lilac is ORT and pink is the book band. So confused!

Book bands were created to make it easier for teachers to match books from different reading schemes/publishers because publishers were using their own colours before Book bands most recently published books will display both
