What do/did your children learn in year 2 science?

There is not much information coming out of school and I am bloody nosey curious. They are learning about healthy eating at the moment, but there is no information other than the topic title reallly and a bit of vagueness from dd. Instead of calling in the Spanish Inquisition to get information out of dd, I am relying on the helpfulness of mn.

Lots about forces (pushes, pulls, gravity, magnets etc), lots about electricity (building circuits etc), and lots about plant life cycles (photosynthesis, plant reproduction etc).

In year 3, the focus so far has been on the human body, digestive systems etc. :)

My yr2 is just doing about change of state (solids, liquids, melting etc.) At a very basic level judging by her homework which was to look at things in the shopping trolley and decide of theyvwere solids or liquids and if you could change them by heating them.
