How do applications work for state Catholic primaries?

We're thinking we'd like DD to go to our nearest local Catholic school in September 2013. I know we apply for shools via the LEA etc. but how does the application work if one of the schools we want is a faith school? In the applications booklet it states for this school that all baptised catholics within the catchment area are likely to get a place, and DD fits both criteria.

But how does this work when submitting the application? Does the school contact applicants later on to get proof of baptism etc, or do we send something with the application, as otherwise the school has no idea which applicants are Catholics and which not? Sorry this sounds really stupid, just have never done it before! Thanks Smile

Thanks, yep, we have other schools in mind as well. Scary business this school thing, have only just got used to DD being at pre-school!
