New Way Orange - how does it fit in?

I'm confused

DD is in year 2 and has been bringing home books with white and then lime reading bands on them. Now she's suddenly brought home a New Way Orange book.

she did orange level in year 1. Has she suddenly been moved down a very long way or does New Way have its own mysterious banding system. This certainly does not look like the orange level books as I remember them (64 pages and some quite complex words)

New way levels are different - IIRC Blue new way is the same as purple band - orange is higher than blue on new way I think so would seem right that it's around white or lime.
