Could anyone advise me as to what 'test' is used for working out a junior school age reading age?

There are literally dozens of different tests. Some test word reading skills, some sentence, some text, some test comprehension and some test both word reading fluency and comprehension.

Our LEA has their own test, where I believe the children read sentences which get progressively more and more challenging to work out a reading age. However comprehension skills get tested with optional and national SAT papers.

Ah okay, so it could be anything.

Thank you.

and reading age with one test doesn't always match the reading age using another
