Dd is in yr3 and learning about Egyptians. She's very excited and has asked to do research at home but google keeps throwing up sites too difficult for her to understand. Any ideas where too look

I would try one of the kid-specific search engines?maybe kids.yahoo.com

www.ancientegypt.co.uk has a reasonable level of information from the quick look I've had.

I didn't even know there was a kid's search engine! Thank you, that will be a massive help

Also google "Egyptians for kids" rather than plain "Egyptians" will bring up specific sites for younger people.

For books I generally find there's usborne books or DK (can't remember what that stands for) that has some good stuff in. Have you tried the library?
