School tours - what to ask?

My DD will be entering reception next year. Over the next few days we are visiting the potential primary / infant schools in the area and going on their official tours and so on. Can anyone give me an idea on what to look out for, good questions to ask etc? Thanks :)

Look at the children - do they seem happy and relaxed. If the head is showing you round, how do they respond to him/her and s/he to them? Look at the displays - are they lively and interesting? Try to get a sense of how long the staff have been there - if they are all new then something might be wrong. But most of all go on atmosphere.
