How does one go about requesting a copy of your dc's school records?

Ask the office. You may have to wait a few days though.
Why? They're terribly dull.

We moved areas over the summer and DS started at new school. Previous school haven't bothered to send records through to new school despite 3 separate requests from new school. I thought that if I did it officially quoting my rights and stuff, I might get results.

I don't think it's unusual to wait a while. But it's for the schools to sort out between them. You don't need to get involved.

We frequently get mums to chase them, at the same time as us, in the (often vain) hope that the old school will respond to the two-prong attack!
