I need to find a non selective prep school somewhere close to Hemel / Watford / Aylesbury area who would be happy to take a child with some additional needs around concentration, and would be able to allow a TA to go with him. He is (apparently) not likely to get a statement because additional needs are not major and he has a higher than average IQ.
He is 4 and has a diagnosis of HFA.
the school he is currently in is MASSIVE and he is struggling. Without a statement (and his school are pushing for him NOT to get one, as they are already pushed for money), he won't get any additional help, which he desperately needs but neither can I fund it because it's a state school.
The school I am looking MUST exist. I just need to find it.
