My friend is moving to the UK from abroad at very short notice with work (next month, so she's panicking a bit!). The family will be based around Newcastle, and they have chosen Morpeth as a place because it's nice, convenient and most importantly seems to have good schools. Education is high up on their agenda.
She has two boys, 9 and 4 and she would like to keep them in the same schools. I understand the 3-tier system is being phased out in the NE, but not sure how soon.
Could any of you with good local knowledge of Newcastle/the North East please recommend good Primary Schools for both boys? Hoping it will be possible for both of them to attend the same Primary school, but if not they'll need a First and a Middle school.
