Storyworld reading books, any experience?

My ds has just started P2 (Scotland)

Last year he ended on Stage 5 ORT, he has just come home with Storyworld stage 8 to read.

This seems a bit of a jump!

Storyworld always seemed to be 1 level out of step with every other reading scheme IIRC.So it looks as though he has gone up 2 levels!!
