We are planning to move to welling, and danston primary area looks ok, school looks ok, at least on the outside;), ofsted is ok, SATs not brilliant but ok, park nearby looks very nice, not far from the station.

I noticed that schools in Blackfen looks better than in Welling, but as it is a bit to far from the station we thought of south Welling and after school research we decided that Danston Primary might be the one.

Any thoughts, opinions from the insider?
Thanks for your input!

Hi, have a look for their CVA - contextualised value added. This is basically describing the progress children make whilst they are with them. Our school focuses on improving our CVA with children as the sats results all depend on how able the children were when they started school I.e. a very low ability child is unlikely to achieve level 4, so a school with a low level 4 achievement may have had a lower ability cohort (if that makes sense!)
The good thing about the area is that lots of schools have recently been inspected by ofsted which uses a new set of criteria, and is much harder to achieve a 'good' or better grading. Have a look at the schools ofsted reports and if they have been graded good or outstanding in 2012 then they have to show and prove a lot to be graded this.
Hope this helps!!

I live in Bexley Borough, do you mean Danson Primary? I don't know the school personally, but generally bexley schools are good, and it's in a nice area.
