Hi,

We have recently moved to England and DD is starting in year 5 in Sept. I am a little worried about maths and wondered if anyone could give me an idea of what she should have covered in year 4 maths?

Thanks so much.

These are the types of things an average or better child in Yr 4 should be able to tackle according to the previous government!

It's a period of change at the moment, so there's nothing newer.

Yes, a period of change with a new curriculum so little to go on at the mo!

Try this though;

www.st-josephs-pickering.n-yorks.sch.uk/optional_sats_past_papers.htm

It has past SATs papers for all year groups (just select Y4 maths). These are not new but the curriculum will not change drastically, there may just be different 'key focus areas' (namely times tables, mental arithmetic we think).

Please remember though that these test papers are for END of Y4- so your child should not necessarily be able to do them all yet! Questions start easy and get harder to the back :)
