Yellow hair accessories?

numbum · 15/08/2012 13:51

I've looked in Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury and can only find red, green or blue sets of hair accessories.

Has anybody seen yellow ones anywhere? I don't really want to buy individual ones in Claires etc

Ebay or an online school uniform shop.

numbum · 15/08/2012 14:34

But they only do one scrunchie/hairband. I want clips and bobbles in multipacks like the other colours have in the supermarkets

Wishful thinking I suppose!

The tesco near me does yellow uniform, I'm sure they do Alice bands not sure about other stuff. Have you tried tesco direct or asdas equivalent?

MrsTrellisOfSouthWales · 15/08/2012 15:00

Alice band
Gingham scrunchies - pack of 5
Mixed set
Just bands
mre
just clips

We have a "must" match hair accessory policy although they still accept plain silver clips.

There are no schools in our entire area with a yellow uniform but Asda's without fail every year stock yellow gingham dresses and hair stuff. It's always all in the sale a few weeks later. Surprised their HO doesn't do any research?

Sorry that wasn't entirely relevant to OP but amusing, I think.

dixiechick1975 · 15/08/2012 20:59

candybows.co.uk does school hair accessories including yellow or ebay

What colour is the rest of the uniform eg navy may be easier to find in shops

dixiechick1975 · 15/08/2012 21:00

KitKatGirl1 ours does awell and i've never seen a local school in yellow.

lisad123 · 15/08/2012 21:01

Try local school uniform shop.

numbum · 15/08/2012 21:57

LOL kitkatgirl we're the only 'yellow' school in the area so I always buy stuff in the sales for the next year when the supermarkets realise they've over bought yet again.

lisad123 the school uniform shop only have scrunchies.

I just can't find the same stuff as you can get in red, green and blue. Will have to give in and just buy odd bits and pieces on ebay rather than the sets you get in other colours I guess

And the rest of the uniform is brown dixie. You can't find little girls' school hair accessories in brown(well I haven't done yet)

Set on EBay here

These say toddler, so don't know if they'd be small.

Brown bobbles

shattereddreams · 15/08/2012 22:24

Look in John lewis for brown ribbon next time you go.
I'm a total ribbon in hair lover

shattereddreams · 15/08/2012 22:26

May I add that the BEST bobbles in the world are Goody stay put.
Can't link on useless iPhone
Boots sell them though. They absolutely stay in place all day. I put ribbed ribbon over the top because it sticks to itself better than silky ribbon.

lisad123 · 15/08/2012 22:30

Try primark Grin

dixiechick1975 · 16/08/2012 00:07

Brown and yellow (sounds lovely Grin - same as brownies uniform! Stockists of that may have clips to match.

There is a seller that makes brown and yellow korker bows on ebay if that is your dd's sort of thing.

You can get packs of plain brown bobbles cheaply aswell.

Can't you just use brown/blonde (haircoloured) clips and grips and use some pretty yellow ribbon?

Ribbon looks lovely.

dixiechick1975 · 16/08/2012 01:18

GoodHeavensNo DD's school uniform rules specify the colour (they also sell a headband and scrunchie to match the skirts)

numbum · 16/08/2012 01:21

goodheavens They don't have to match but I like them to for at least the first day back and school photos Grin. By Christmas she'll be back to pigtails with odd coloured bobbles in!

youonlysing good thinking!

Ours have to match, and the summer uniform is a different colour so requires a different set Hmm DD says ribbon is not cool, so ebay is my friend.

lisad123 · 16/08/2012 23:42

yes we have same rule they have to match her uniform and no plastic clips allowed Blush

MuddlingMackem · 17/08/2012 10:54

Have a look in Wilkinson as well. I struggled to find dark green bobbles and got a hairband and bobbles set in there.
