English tutor- Advice

I have a boy! and he hates writing! Bet it sounds like just another boy story..
But honestly, I'm beat. Tried everything, bribes, sweets, hollow threats.. the lot.
Nothing seems to work. He will do anything else, but will not do the long writing . He is now in Year3 and KS2 will demand a higher level of work.
Any suggestions for an English tutor please. We are in East London.

There is not a huge jump between what is expected end of Y2 and beginning of Y3.

If he coped fine last year he'll almost certainly cope fine this year.

Thanks Indigobell, but I was hoping to start him on some private tuition.. would anyone know of a good English tutor?

oooh beatmum handwriting is such a tricky one to deal with -I've been there too and totally understand your frustrations.

I know an excellent private tutor who specialises in 7+ and onwards. He's a former Head of Department of a top London Prep School and I know he's great with motivation and patient help. Sadly he's probably super busy -I know of a similar tutor who has hoovered up all of the pupils at Knightsbridge Prep. I must be in the wrong job.

Send me an email and i'll send you his details. Best of luck and hoping your little boy becomes more confident with his handwriting. [email protected]
