Looking for a bit of reassurance....My ds has been separated from most/ all of his buddies from reception.

I'm trying to feel positive and open minded but beginning to worry about how its going to affect him. My hope about making new friends is relying on the fact that Yr1 seems to be more table based. Is this the case? How does the table work influence friendships?

Any advice gratefully received

Is your DS bothered about being separated from his friends??

My DS when he finished reception was split up with all his friends for yr1 and I think I was more bothered than he was!! Blush

He made new friends very quickly (actually thinking about it they were all on the same table as him) but still saw his old friends at playtime and lunch.

Thanks. Yes I think I am more bothered than him,

Still, I'm not happy if I'm not worrying about something so this will do for the summer!

LOL I know the feeling!!

My DS was absolutely fine about it and is now going into yr3 in sept having been in the same class for 2 yrs and again has been split up with his friends

But by this stage he pretty much knows everyone in his year so I am sure he will have someone he gets on with....
