I've recently moved to the area and am looking at schools for DD. I visited Herne Bay Infant and know from its ofsted it is outstanding but I found the school rather large and unpersonal, I also visited Saint Philip Howard, I liked this school because of its small size and small classes, I know having read their ofsted they are in special measures, however they have a new head starting and seem to be making changes. I didnt look at Hampton as they have become an academy which Im weary about. Does anyone have any experience of the schools in Herne Bay

Both my DCs went to SPH for the reason that it was small and the pastoral care was excellent. It was outstanding when my DD started then the head left and the school nearly closed. Both DCs went onto grammar school from there. HBI does have a fantastic reputation though, and will help DC prepare for local secondary Herne Bay High which has 1500 students.
It depends on your DC, mine were very happy there :)
