i have had results for my son's year 3 optional sats and I don't understand them. Can anyone explain what these figures mean please - written as I was given them
Reading - level 3B (2A)
Writing - level 3C (2B)
Maths - Level 3C (2A)
Science - Level 3C (2B)

I would assume the ones in brackets are his SATS scores from year 2?

So he has made 2 sublevels' progress in reading, writing and science, and one sublevel's progress in maths.

The expected progress is 3 sublevels in 2 years, so he has progressed as expected.

The expected level for the end of year 3 is a 2a/ 3c, meaning he is on target for writing, maths and science, and above target for reading.
