Phonics results "not ready yet"?

Last day of school for ds today. I asked his teacher when we could expect to receive his results from the phonics test... apparently they haven't yet "come back from the government"?

Short question: do schools really have to wait to get the results back from the DofE, or are the school having me on?

(Same school, by the way, that claims it doesn't assess Y1 pupils).

No. Test is conducted in school, by the Teacher's.

Don't know what they're waiting for; sounds fishy to me.

No, they will have been marked in school - the results are then submitted. They're having a (phonic) larf!

The results had to be submitted electronically no later than the 29th June and generated an immediate printout for the school

That's what I thought - thanks.

My guess is that they don't want to hand the results out because they are cr*p.

Sorry, didn't see your post before replying, mrsz.

Sounds to me as if they are lying then and probably just hoping everyone forgets all about it over the long summer holidays.
