What makes a great primary school teacher?

What sorts of personal qualities make for the best teacher e.g. strict, motherly, laid back? Does being male or female make a difference? Would you prefer a younger teacher to an older one, and would you say it matters if there is one part time or two job share teachers?

Being fair is top of most children's list.i like open mindedness, patience, fairly strict, experienced ,adaptable and fun and above all a good role model.

Finding & nurturing the best qualities in individual children. Ditto for finding their weaknesses & encouraging them in those areas, too.
