Hi - I'm after some information regarding some of the independent schools in and around Sutton Coldfield. Does anyone have any experience of Highclare or Lichfield Cathedral schools please? Confused My DD will be going into year 4 this September and we would like her to move before she starts secondary school.

I live near Lichfield and the Cathedral School has a good reputation locally. Having said that, I don't actually know anyone with DC there. Is Abbots Bromley School for Girls too far? I believe they have a bus from the Lichfield/Sutton area

Highclare has a really good reputation academically. My friend went there (but a long time ago) and loved it. She says its a really friendly school

Have you considered Edgbaston High School I know a lot of girls go there from Sutton Coldfield though it is a bit of a trek across the city

Thank you both very much. Will look into the other 2 schools, the distance had put me off but could be worth a look Smile.

Another shout for Edgbaston High - both nieces went and loved it. Excellent academic education but also strong pastorally.

They left at 11 to go to King Edwards VI H/Worth

Yet another shout for Edgbaston High. A wonderful school, academically and pastorally. DD has been there for 4 years. The special school buses from Sutton to EHS seem popular.

Thank you for your suggestions. EHS looks really amazing. Some good food for thought....
