My dc is on PGl trip at the moment and the school has been updating us now and again on their adventures. Well today, they posted a group photo of the kids. I don't want to sound like a prude, but I was shocked at the photo. There are some girls with bras on top of there clothes posing rather provocatively. Sort of trying to flaunt what they ain't got. Some boys have sort of padding which makes them look like muscly men, nothing untoward there. Is it just me or is this just wrong for 10-11 year old. They should enjoy their time being kids not act like th.

They were probably doing some sort of game which involved dressing up. I have been on a pgl trip where the kids did a 'fashion show' and dressed the boys up as girls. They were older, 10 and 11 does seem young but you cant tell what they were doing from the picture. Perhaps the pgl leaders told the kids to 'dress up as models', you cant blame the kids for then going off and putting on model type outfits. At least the bras are on top of clothes!

Personally I wouldnt want to take part in an activity that involved the girls bras (mainly because a lot probably dont wear them, and I as an adult wouldnt want all my collegues seeing my bra so why would a child want their class mates to?) but I dont think you can assume the activity was untoward just from the photo.

Are you sure they are bras not bikini tops? I just wouldnt worry. Wait till your DC get home, ask them about the picture and if you are further concern then fair enough.

They were definitely bras, and padded with something. Even if they were told to do that, I really think that it is wrong for an adult to tell children to do that That is just creepy.

It will be some children, not all children.

I bet when you were at school there was at least one or two more 'street wise' or 'advanced' children.

unfortunately, the media has a lot to answer for.

Was your child one of them?
