expected progress at end of Reception Year?

Hi just wondering if anyone can give me an idea of the attainment level which is expected at the end of Reception Year? I understand that each child is different but there must be some sort of benchmark in place?

My ds is just about to move to Year1 and has sen. I (hopefully) have a meeting with school this week and I know I'm going to be fobbed off with "hes doing fine". It would be useful to know where he should be so that I have some ammo to fight with for help next year or to possibly go down the statement route if school become difficult.

I hope this makes sense Smile

There is a thread in Primary all about the EY profile that might help if you've been given a school report recently.

no report yet! I'm having all sorts of problems getting any information out of them Angry Just trying to get an idea of where he "should" be iyswim.

Basically I haven't been involved in his IEP review nor the drawing up of him IEP to take him through to Yr1. There has been nothing put in place for his transition or any info on what support he will have for next year either. Its almost like he has slipped through the cracks and they are acting like it will all go away if they ignore it long enough.

Just getting twitchy as there are only 2 weeks left till the end of term.

Will go and read the thread now - thank you Thanks
