Redbridge or worth moving

have a 3 1/2 year old and have started searching for a good primary or Preprep. looks like our current home in newbury park has no good catchments, and the private schools we have seen seem to lack space. So will probably have to relocate. Work is not an issue can relocate anywhere. Does anyone have experience of good Redbridge primaries or Pre-preps ?

If not then where can we move which will give us a Catchment to two or more good schools?

Don't want to alarm you...but

Redbridge is very overpopulated, you really need to ensure you move as close to the school as you can by application time ? which I am guessing is the forthcoming November for you. There was somebody on the local thread saying there were simply no infant places at all available in Redbridge, they'd recently moved here.

South Woodford has a number of good primary schools. Very oversubscribed though, Churchfields, perceived as "the" school to get into, had 40 places after siblings etc out of 120 places as it is a 4 form entry. My son is going to go to Nightingale, which seems good and I know parents who are happy with it.

There are also a lot of nice private schools, you might be too late at 3.5 though, lots have waiting lists that start at birth.

I know people at Snaresbrook College who are happy with it. Forest school just has an open list and they offer places after interview. There were c120 on the list, with 2 form entry of 16 each class. But I am guessing a number of the list (like us) don't end up going for it, so the odds aren?t as poor as they sound.

Not sure this is much help...

Good luck.
