My Dd is just finishing Yr 2 and is really well behind in her maths. I want to spend some time each day over the summer helping her to catch up a bit. Does anyone have any recommendations re which one to sign up for ? I thought about the Carol Vorderman summer school one - is that any good ? TIA !

We use IXL. It can be quite motivating. Sometimes they even get excited about it! (Just sometimes) £10 a month for two kids.

Our school uses mathletics. You can sign up as an individual aswell as a school registration.

Mathletics is popular in our house too.

My dd has really low confidence with numeracy though and I am worried she might get a bit stressed out if things seem a bit competitive - is mathletics quite straight forward to use ?

Does Mathletics actually teach children how to do certain things or does it just ask question after question and not tell them WHY they've got a question wrong?

Hi we have signed up with the maths factor which is carol vorderman.
They are doing a summer school program. There are videos to watch, games and tests to do. My daughter (year 1) is really enjoying it.
It covers all ages up to Gcse I think.
There are a few free clips to watch on site before u sign up.

Bumping as I am looking for something for DD too. She has no confidence at all in her maths, if I sit with her she can usually get the right answer but left to her own devices she seems to panic. Anyone else please with any recommendations?
