Leaving gift ideas please

My daughter is in year 6 and will be leaving her primary school at the end of this term when the school year finishes. We have been with this primary school as a family since my son started in reception year 9 years ago. Over the years I have helped with many school trips and done a short stint of voluntry work at the school. My daughter in particular has needed extra support with learning difficulties and for medical reasons (she has type 1 diabetes). As a result I feel that we have got to know many of the staff members quite well, not just the teaching staff directly involved in their year groups but also the first aiders, lunchtime supervisor etc. I'm quite sad for my youngest to be leaving the school as we have had many happy and pleasant memories with them. Because of the number of staff involved with our children over the years I would like to give a gift to more than just the current year 6 teaching staff. It's a farewell and thank-you for all the support over the years kind of gift. Unfortunately because of the current financial times my budget is limited and I can't stretch to much more than £50. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas? Hubby suggested daughter and I do some baking, we could deliver a cake on the Monday before end of term for the staff to share in the staff room. I'm not sure that is enough though. Give me some ideas please :)

A cake sounds a lovely idea. Along with a card expressing your thanks for the things mentioned in your post, I am sure the staff will be chuffed.

I speak as a teacher myself and while it is lovely to receive gifts it is the cards with kind words that I treasure the most.

A sandwich toaster & filled salt & pepper pots for the staffroom?
A years subscription to a 'chill out' type magazine to be sent to the staffroom?

I have given both of these as presents when I have left a school that I have taught in and were well received Grin

Speaking as a teacher it really is the words in cars that mean the most. I certainly agree a cake is a good idea and although predictable chocolates always go down well with everyone.
If staff have to provide snacks, tea and coffee for the staff room , then this can be a good idea. Similarly lunch or break on the last day of term!
