hoping to start a pgde in primary teaching next year can anybody give me any good books that i should start reading just now that will help in my learning

also i was going to do this course in the meantime to help me out a bit but im in scotland and this qualification is only recognized in england and wales so do you even think when i apply to University to do the PGDE they will even take any notice of it

I know you are almost certainly typing on a phone and I make errors on my iPod all the time, but their for there and no capitals.

A pedant will be along in a moment.

Reflective teaching by Andrew Pollard is nearly always on book lists.

Sue Cowley's 'How to Survive Your First Year in Teaching'

I read a brilliant book about circle time. I know I referenced it in my dissertation, but will need to find my dissertation before I can tell you...

Better get used to it! As a teacher, every word you say and write will be subject to public scrutiny and discussionWink

Found my dissertation! Right, the book is called The Articulate Classroom but the chapter about circle time is written by C Smith.
