Can I ask what you think won it for you, do you think it was over the 3 places re offered after they had failed to update/ask you for your new address? I can't think of anything else in your case that could have really done it being ICS!
Congratulations, glad your dd can start in September and not go back to pre-school like you feared :)

Yes, it was over those 3 places. The admissions guy was made to admit we should have been offered one of those as we had informed our change of address before those places were offered (and it was on the paperwork that everyone was looking at dated before May 8th) - it wasnt easy by any means the appeal, the admissions guy certainly isnt a fan of us! It was all to do with dates and facts.
As it turns out I think some places are going to come up this week as I know one guy has decided to move his kid, so being number 1 on the waiting list we would have got in .... BUT winning this makes it all the more better that DD can now go! And in time for induction days too which is a HUGE bonus as I feared and was expecting she was miss all of that and like you say miss some of reception and go to preschool. :)

Yes am sooo relieved! I honestly was not expecting to win it, and we went in and just gave it our best. My DD is very excited she will go to 'big school' with her friends and I think the preschool took her to meet the teacher today as the other kids already have which I thought was very sweet of them :) Winning what appears to be the unwinnable feels very good!

...I guess also if someone is giving up their place then there wont be 31 kids in the class, so prob a good result all around!
