What do you do with your dc when they get home from school?

Feeling a bit guilty because i don't do much with my dc age 5 and 7. After walking home from school (which can take an hour if they are having a play/bumped into a friend), I am usually doing tea, packed lunches, dc2s reading book, bath etc until bedtime when dh and i read them both a story.

DD (4yo) comes home on the school bus and isn't back home until 4:15pm. She gets a snack (something like parma ham/ salami and cucumber and tomatoes or fruit) and we have a natter when she gets in, then we read her book and do any other work that she's brought home (and I read any letters that she's brought home) and then she either plays in her play room or outside in the garden for a little while. We have dinner about 5:30pm, then it's bath (with her 12mth old DB) and bed at about 7pm with a story. She usually reads until about 7:30pm, but falls asleep soon after. On Tuesdays I pick her up as she does gymnastics and on Fridays we usually meet friends at our local farm park.

No packed lunches to make as she has school dinners.

My ds is 7 and his after school varies, but most Mondays we meet various friends and their children for a play which is usually finished by 4:30 or5. Then home quick tea for him and some homework then pop to the library every other week after tea for a quick half hour then bath and stories in bed.
Usually on Tuesday we have a school friend round for tea and then walk them home after, then bath and bed/stories.
Two nights a week he has an activity after school and he is met by a grandparent and they do whatever suits either home for tea or out for tea before handing him over to his dad. One day a week he has an afterschool club and I pick him up from work at around 5:30 then home tea, bath and bed.
I make his packed lunch after he goes to bed when I do my own lunch.
He has a couple of activities at the weekend and a day when we tend to wear pyjamas all day and doss around with a bit of a walk in the afternoon to somewhere when we get cabin fever.
