Can anyone tell me, if this has changed in recent years, when my dd started 3 years ago summer born was children born after April 30th, my ds starts this year and his b.day is in March (dd in April but b4 April 30th) is this still the case?

Someone mentioned to me today that March was summer born?,this seems crazy to me!

Thanks

March is not summer born. Not by anyone's standards! Well, not in this country.

Our school splits reception children in three groups for the staggered stars and, as you say, the summer born group is May June July and August.

Its according to school terms, isn't it?

Autumn term - Sep to Dec
Spring term - Jan to April
Summer term - May to July + August

more or less.

Brilliant thanks, that is what I thought, I think that she has got in a muddle somewhere and is convinced hers (and mine ds's) will start part time but my dd started fulltime and was born in April so Im assuming the same will happen again.
