...Is this everywhere in the UK and is there any way to find out if 2013 was a boom birth year (which must be the reason?)

no facts and figures but my friend is a midwife and she laughed that 2009 was busy for babies

Not for our E Yorks primary school. Last year was.

I worked in a pharmacy in the summer of 2008 when there was all that flooding and rain for days and days and days through the holidays.

We ran out of condoms and preggo tests.

So perhaps politicians should blame the weather for the shortage of places a p schools Grin

Our borough (SE London, Kent border) has now 9 bulge classes compared to 2 or 3 last year.

Therefore I think, yes, it is a bigger intake.
