just had my appeal date :(

Can't believe it just got my appeal date its the wed before summer hols . So I won't even know if dd is accepted or not before she leaves ! If we fail how can I settle her in a new school ! Worrying even more now . Do they realise the stress we have been under since we found out in April now we have over a month of more worrying. Sorry rant over :(

Yes I did accept the other place its not an ideal school as it doesn't have the full suport to give to dd. But it is a school and she can continue with her education which is what we want. But I want the appeal panel to know I am not taking her education for granted , I have cancelled a girly hol with my friend also ( which was very much needed , even more so now, I had endometrios cancer and had my opp in Jan , so this hol was to relax after last years upset , now this year continuing with it!) Obviously not relevant to dd appeal , but would like things to settle soon. I am under no illusion that this is very difficult to win but I have to try.

I am been positive regards to schools with her , even taken her to visit new school , but wanted to allow her time to say goodbye rather than not just return to her school .

I have just looked at my la's appeal dates and it states that if you appeal between 23 April and 8 May, your appeal will be held between 6 and 12 June. If your appeal was late, then I suppose you have to go with the date given but if not, for the sake of your sanity and the worry that your dc will go through, I would push for it to be earlier. Are you ready (or as ready as you could be) for the appeal?

hi angeleyes, must be different la, cause ours didnt even look at them till the 18th may, and says they will be heard by july the 20th !! . So no my appeal was definatly not late!!

They wont do it any earlier as they do all the same school on that day, i think i am prepared as i will ever be, it is such a stressfull time .
