Help any advice on the above schools?? My dd was not allocated any of our preferred schools for reception 2012 but now been offered these two. They seem to have a poor reputation ? (which is why we did not put them down to begin with)but I was hoping from any input from people who are a but more familiar think me
Thanks

Hi jojo19,
I would go for Foresters. This is because their sats results are actually a lot better than the ones that are published. This is because they have to include the results of the children that are in their Autistic Base class and this askews their results and there is nothing they can do about it. They should actually be towards the top of the table and their results are getting better every year. It's also a nice small, friendly school. HTH

I'd opt for Foresters - we considered it (and listed it) for DD when she started primary. They have an ASD base on site which skews their results. The intake is 30 so nice and small, too.

Amy Johnson has gone back to a 60 intake for reception, I know one of the governors there and he says a lot of the problems there stem from the parents and unauthorised absence rates, which are high.

The intake of both schools is mostly taken from Roundshaw afaik so not much between them as far as that goes.
