How can I find out more about school finances?

I think I remember seeing link on here which told you how much smonety per pupil schools receive and how they spend it.

You can find the spend per pupil and a lot of other information on the DfE website here.

If you want to dive even deeper into school finances then there is what is called the section 251 report which will be somewhere on each LA website.
Thus gives you more information on the formula that is being used to fund schools locally rather then the GUF (guaranteed unit of funding) which is what each LA gets for each pupil being educated in the LA.
It might also be pertinent to say that the funding formula at LA level is being changed from next April and it will be much more constrictive than at present. The idea is that once all LAs have the same funding formula then the government can turn their attention to the bigger can of worms that is the GUF and how different LAs get vastly different levels of funding in their GUF.
