Half term/ Are we the only ones

Just wondered how many other schools broke up last week. We finished on tuesday and go back on the 6th June. Everywhere was quiet and all other kids at school. Not complaining as lovely weather and dd and friends got the whole park almost to themselves.

Our may half term is In June this year ! The week with the jubilee bank holidays.

I break up On Wednesday and go back a week and a bit later, Dd breaks up next Friday lunch for a week

We break up on the 1st and return to school on the 11th

We don't get half term in Scotland.

I can't believe Scotland don't get half term. It must be awful, do the kids get really tired or do you have shorter terms

Half term for us is the week of the bank holidays which is great as then only 3 days leave needed between the two of us to cover it

Scottish schools break up for the summer in June morethan so don't feel too bad .

Break up on 1st, back on 11th here as well.

Also, Scottish schools get 2 weeks in October when English schools only get 1.

Our schools break up on 31st (non-pupils day on 1st), and are back on 11th.

My sister in laws school have 2 weeks for may half term and encourage parents to use the other for holidays because they'll pay term time prices rather than get ripped off which I think is genius.

I am in Scotland and we are getting a long weekend next weekend (Jubilee holiday) - finish up thursday 31st and go back on wednesday 6th June. Our summer holidays then start from 28th June

We have two weeks, finish on Friday, back on the 18th

p.s. we only get a week in October - affectionately called 'The October Week'
