Hi

We are moving to Windsor and I am lookinf for a good school for my 5 yr old boy...We live off Winkfield Rd, St. Leonard's Hill....

My 10 yr old will be going to Lambrook but I would like a good state school near where we live for the younger one!

Thanks for any help!!!

I think Oakfield, Clewer green & Hilltop would all be your nearest.

I'm not sure if you are aware but Windsor has a 3 tier school system so first school runs from the Sept after their 4th birthday till 9 and then it changes to middle school (9-13) and then senior school.

I would arrange to go and have a look at all of them that have spaces. My niece and nephew go to Queen Anne's but I know the catchment on that is tight. I have not lived in Windsor for a few years now but loved my school days there. Oakfield always had a great rep but don't much about the others.

Good luck.

My friend's kids go to St Edwards. It seems fantastic but you do have to be a) Catholic and b) able to see the school over your garden fence to get in.

I'm curious to know why you don't want to send your little one to Lambrook? My DS hasn't started school yet but I'm intending to send him to Meadowbrook to the end of Reception and then move him to Lambrook in Y1. I think the KS1 set up at Lambrook is really nice, like a little school inside a big school.
