book bands in juniors

Does anyone know what book bands your school uses in juniors. Ours seem to use random colours which don't bear any relation to book band charts. (including 2 different pink colours)
Only asking as ds on the colour after white (not lime) and I am worried he is a little behind. Sometimes reads treetops 12 and 13.
Thanks.

I think it must vary from school to school. DS's juniors uses the standard NC levels (so gold-purple-white-lime) and then goes to cream.

purple-gold-white-lime (sorry!)

The colour after white is not behind for Y3.

They only go up about one book band a year in KS2

We have white, lime, burgundy, black, light blue and grey. Grey being the average for a year 6 child.

On our scheme, year 3 children should be on burgundy.

lime, grey, brown,dark blue, burgundy

They seem to be having white, lime, copper, silver, gold at DCs school. Not sure what comes after gold as DS only up to silver. They seem to be using that progression in KS1 as well according to DD.

Why don't just ask the teacher about dc's reading age?
