... after worrying and complaining that my children are not stretched enough, I have to say (after reading another thread) that I think I'm very lucky that my DD and DS are happy in their new school, after moving almost 2 years ago (we had to move from England to Scotland).
How nice it is to pick up two smiling children from school, watching them coming out while chatting to their friends, and how nice it is to listen to what games they have played with the other children at break and lunch time.
This could have been so much harder. Oh, how lucky we are to have found such a lovely school, such lovely classmates, and such patient teachers (who I still think should stretch my kids more, but that's not so important compared to other things).
And I'm so relieved that my DS can finally read "properly" (=reading for enjoyment) and realises when he writes "b" instead of "d" and corrects it (thanks to all the suggestions that I got from MN).
Sorry if this doesn't make sense, but I wanted to post a "success story" post.
