DS has to dress up as one of these for school. Any amazing suggestions please? I've found a blog which shows how to make a coat from a red jacket but I can't find one in the charity shops. I don't even wear red myself. I would be really grateful for some help. Many thanks.

Could you get away with a torn white shirt, ripped black trousers with fake blood and a reference to Scutari and Florence Nightingale

Thanks for your help so far. It drives me mad when schools do this. Angry

The Charge of the Light Brigade was in the Crimea. Just cut out a paper horse and a cardboard sword (how does the word sword work out phonetically?)

Florence Nightingale, why does it have to be a soldier?!!!

Mud, dysentery and more mud. (Not wanting to be a war nerd or anything, but there are a lot more interesting things about this war than the uniforms!)
