DS2 has started SATS and his school tell them to take in lucozade and polo mints. DS2 was anxious about getting some from the shop this morning but he doesn't like either of them?? He has aspergers so is a bit fussy anyway. Lucozade isn't cheap so I hope he brings the bottle home and maybe I can fill it with something else? Wink I may ring the school and see if there are alternatives?

Do your dcs schools ask them to take things in? Before we moved ds1 did his SATs at his old school and they provided toast etc...

DD's school provide breakfast & they've been told they can take sweets in. Nothing more specific than that, though.

No, nothing at DS's school. DS would love to be given permission to take in lucozade and sweets Smile.

I'm sure if his teacher had advised them to bring sweets in that ds would have let me know Grin

He takes a sandwich in for break everyday anyway, but I gave him some extra chocolate digestives today and yesterday.

Well don't I look the fool. I rang the school to ask if there was anything else they could bring. Receptionist said she'd find out and ring me back. She rang back to say they'd asked ds2 and he does like lucozade and polo mints!! Obviously he wants to fit in bless him. Goodness knows what they think of me? Grin

Hi curious, that is just the kind of thing Dd3 would do.

How strange that they would suggest something as specific as lucozade and polo's. Do you think a teacher has just chatted about what they could bring and your Ds has taken it literally? That is exactly the kind of thing Dd3 does to me all the time.

Hope his SATS go ok, with or without the lukozadeSmile.

No they did it last year too. He's in a mixed class so yr 5 and 6 did it and are also doing it this year.

I gave him enough cash to get both and he didn't realise he had enough so just bought polos. The teachers gave him some lucozade Blush I'll reimburse them tomorrow though.

No just water at DD's school.

Surprised at lucozade tbh.
