Hi everyone,

I am hoping to move to Derby with my daughter in the coming months, she will be 5 in October. I know I have missed the deadline in regards to enrolling her for school this year, can anyone advise me how to go about finding out what I need to do? I don't want to move somewhere if there are no places available in the nearby schools, but I don't think I can apply until I have an address...any help anyone can give to point me in the right direction would be great. Thanks.

Thanks very much for your reply. I will try mailing the schools directly to ask for advice.

Cooper I am in Derby, do you know which areas you are likely to move to?

I don't know in general about how big a year intake this is (they can vary) but I know, for example, that my local infant school is going to be full in terms of first choices.

If you have some areas in mind contact the LA; but if you post them here I might be able to give you a rough idea?
