My DD is in Reception and doing well. They have learnt all their sounds and alternative spellings/sounds (if that makes sense)! For example ai, ay, a-e, ie, y, i-e, igh. etc etc....Her reading is going well and she enjoys it. I am just trying to work out what they learn next! They have little tasks to do over a week and I really rate the teaching she has. The next class up however has had really mixed feelings over the teaching. This is my first child going through school so this is a learning curve for me also. My question is, what other trigraphs or "sounds" do they learn next? Have a lot of jolly phonics stuff but from what I have it doesn't really show more than the above. Anyone have a link that may help? Sorry if a bit confusing! I just need to have heads up so I can learn it before helping my DD!!
