...or is it just me that lets the post pile up for a few days or leaves it stuck in the door?
Anyway, opened a letter today saying in the first paragraph that I hadn't notified the school of my intention to take up DD2's place so it had been allocated to another child. Silently scream as the full horror of the unfolding bureaucratic nightmare consumes me. Few more lines...blah blah blah.....But! If we receive the slip below by Friday 11th May she can still have the place. Why not put that on the top?! And why is it Saturday on a bank holiday weekend?! So stressed that it will be lost again that I considered hand delivering but we're all working in the opposite direction next week so have entrusted it to Tuesday's (!) post and will telephone also.
By the way, I did take my slip back to the school on the day it arrived, receptionist commented that it was the first. I assume they prepare a list for the LEA so I am more than a bit disgruntled that no-one noticed DD2 was missing (tiny school, older sibling attends), probably bonkers.
Just a PSA!
