So we have decided to send DS there this September but now im getting nervous that it will all be a bit posh! Does anyone have any experience of the school? Good or bad? We have paid the deposit now so would have to be really bad to change my mind- suppose I'm just after some reassurance that there will be normal families there like us. I got a good feeling going round it, just so different to my own state school primary education. Thanks all.

My son at AGSB , the kids we have come across have been fine really, just like any others. THe parents less so IMHO- bit snotty and full of themselves- with a sense of entitlement to a place at the grammar. But I must say that one or two of them I have met are nice. Sure you will find some like minded parents and your son will enjoy it.

Marking my place
I am thinking of sending my child next sep if they don't get into my first choice state school and I'm normal too
So watching with interest

Alty prep is highly regarded and has a long waiting list to confirm this, it is a lovely school - my son is due to start Forest Park in Sale in September we felt the school was more friendly just our personal choice though
