Worried about yr daughter

I am really worried, she is bright for her age (5) she is doing really well and her teacher says she is working above average, she can read well, (recently read macbeth), has had three books published, her Maths is outstanding, she is a member of Mensa and has recently had an unconditional offer from a very good university. BUT I made her sit a mock A level exam for sociology and she only got a B. :(
Another parent at the school said their child got an A*
What can I do to help her at home.
This is not stealth boasting I promise.

No idea why you are so against bright kids. Some of them have v real problems.

Maybe pop off and get a life?

I think I know where you're coming from - thanks for the laugh Grin

It sounds like the school isn't pushing the children hard enough. Unfortunately with the dumbing down of education this sort of story is all too common.

Perhaps you'd like to take a walk in another parents shoes. Having to take ds2 to developmental peadtrician for assessment next week Sad.

Iamnotminterested · 03/05/2012 15:25

OP You should have sent her to private school Wink

I blame the government (and Arthur.) No wonder turnout is low.

juniper904 · 04/05/2012 19:32

I'm sure it's the teacher's fault. Probably because the primary school teacher, who has to teach 13 curriculum subjects, hasn't got a PHD in philosophy. The swine.
