School Milk

Hi

The following problem has been going on for a year, I have mentioned the situation to the school.

We have three children going to the same first school, I am always hearing that they are running out of milk, so some days children won't get milk, and I mean a whole class! This is what my child says anyway!

The milk is served in cartons, so storage of the milk is not a problem, as there is plenty of date on it, although it used to be freshly delivered everyday when I was younger, in bottles with cream on top!

The fee is 20p per day for milk!

Does anyone know who I can speak to in the education department?

I'm assuming the children are over 5 and you are paying for milk?

If you're paying in advance and they're not getting it then you need to speak to school. Do they refund you?

Storage can actually be a problem though - our school milk gets delivered on alternate days so we get two days at once and that's a lot of milk to find fridge space for.

Well it's not a point about refunding, as they don't tell us, it is only because we ask the children! Sometimes they can't have milk because it is too frozen?! And sometimes it is warm.

I'd speak to the school first and raise your concerns.

Well if you're paying for something you're not getting then I'd ask for a refund. It may spur them into doing something about it, either ordering more or storing it properly.
